Leilani Pruneda - Creative Director
Leilani Pruneda is from a small agricultural town in central Washington, Warden. Although she considers Washington home, Leilani was raised as a migrant student in The United States up until high school. Which meant two different schools in one year. She actually enjoyed it, and firmly believes, those experiences have a big part of who she is. She realized she was raised differently from others, when she went to college, but it is what sets her apart from others. Along with her siblings and parents, since a very young age Leilani would consider herself very family oriented. Some of her favorite things to do are watch sports, be with her family and friends, travel, and cook/bake.
Leilani is currently a junior at Washington State University, majoring in Strategic Communication with a focus on Public Relations along with a minor in Digital Technology and Culture. She is a Facility Manager at WSU’s Compton Union Building, is a member of PRSSA, and former CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) member. Leilani is taking every opportunity for a higher education and is set to live the American dream for her parents, that never had the same opportunities.
Leilani will be studying in Florence, Italy for the Spring semester of 2017-18, along with taking courses she also has an Internship opportunity through Richmond University. Her plans after the spring are to then move to Los Angeles for the summer for another Internship opportunity she has with MATTEL, to work alongside the company's creative director. After college, her plans are to move to Los Angeles, CA, where one of her three older sisters (who is a cougar alum, GO COUGS!) lives and works as a fashion designer. Leilani hopes to work for a fashion industry or work for a non profit organization. Leilani and her sister, have big dreams to be able to work together in the future and start their own fashion industry.
As the Creative Director for Our Season, she is most excited to work with the team and to be able to execute the vision she had for the organization, by creating content. She oversees the creative process for Our Season. Constantly working with designs, write ups, and planned advertising for the athletic gym for young childeren, and adults. Leilani feels passionate about Our Season and is excited to be able to bring this to Los Angeles.
Leilani is a team player, organized and a hard worker. She is motivated to be the best she possibly can for Our Season. Her focus lies on being happy, family, networking and continuously learning.
Leilani lives by two simple words her parents have always told her, ‘echale ganas’, which can translate to “put in work”, but to her it means more, for her it is to be passionate and hardworking in whatever she does. Her parents encourage her to be the best possible version of herself, that she can be.
