Hello everyone it’s close to the big day. It’s almost time for our annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament. To help everyone be prepared for the tournament we have some tips that Kobe Bryant has shared with us. Kobe is an amazing basketball player that played his entire 20 year long career for the Los Angeles Lakers. The drill that he thinks is the most important is defensive slides. Here are 3 tips to do when doing defensive slides to improve your defensive game.
His 3 tips for defense are to stay balanced, have active hands and to have a wide base. Bryant believes staying balanced is important because if you keep your torso centered while you're moving your feet, you're ready to go either direction your opponent might take you. Active hands are useful to slow down your opponent and to stop them from passing the ball or possibly shooting. Lastly keeping if you keep your feet further apart, you have a wider base so your man can't change direction. His tips for offense are to practice free throws and layups because both are free points. If you can dunk also practice dunking because dunking is essential in the NBA.
